In his message, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said Islam stresses on the promotion of norms and high values of peace and justice and provision of justice and equality are fundamental injunctions of Islam. "Societal discrepancies occur in the societies where provision of justice is not ensured," he said, adding, "Civilized world has remained desirous of a human society based on justice since long because human societies, which failed to ensure justice, fade away at last."
Shahbaz said the formation of a society based on justice is only possible through strong protection of human rights and a justice-based society is the fundamental pillar for ensuring socio-economic progress of the country.
He said fulfilment of the demand of justice along with formation of a better and civilized society is among the priorities of the Punjab government as ensuring provision of justice to every citizen of the society is the responsibility of the State. In this regard, the Punjab government is following the policy of formation of a society having firmly based on justice and equality. There is no doubt that equitable provision of justice is essential for development of a country as an honorable and civilized nation in the world. Similarly, economic development and prosperity cannot be achieved without fulfilling the needs of justice, he added. He said promotion of justice and supremacy of the constitution are manifestoes of Pakistan Muslim League-N and on this day, we should reiterate our commitments that prompt provision of justice, to all the segments of the society, will be fully ensured.
